COLOUR REVOLT

Colour Revolt is a rock band from Oxford, Mississippi with a gritty, yet refined sound. This hand screen printed poster was designed for the Lansing, Michigan date of their tour in support of their latest album "Plunder, Beg, and Curse." Being that the band is from Mississippi, mosquitoes are a fairly constant part of their lives. This led me to draw connections between the insect itself and the band's sound. The raw style of the mosquito illustration contrasts the tight, refined typography in order to visually describe Colour Revolt's style.
