WASTEFOOL
Wastefool is an initiative and call to action that was created to raise awareness about the growing wastefulness of the human race. The initiative is part of an organization called Moving Design that was created by Rick Valicenti and John Pobojewski, which aims to "create initiatives that bring together organizations, professionals, and students from different disciplines to present relevant new ideas shaping the public point of view." Wastefool is focused specifically on the wastefulness of product design. The program is meant to inspire practical and creative design thinking by presenting specific examples of excess, research on the items, practical solutions to the items, and creative solutions to the items. The maze-like identity comments on the complicated problem we have created for ourselves.
